Description

Hiretech HT7 Disc Floor Sander 110V: Precision Finishing for Edges and Corners

The Hiretech HT7 Disc Floor Sander 110V is a powerful and versatile edging sander, purpose-built to complement main drum sanders in achieving a seamless, high-quality finish across an entire floor. Its compact design and robust construction make it ideal for tackling the difficult-to-reach areas where larger machines cannot operate, such as room perimeters, stair treads, and small confined spaces. Operating on a 110V supply, it meets the strict safety standards required for professional use on construction sites.

The HT7 is engineered to provide precise control and consistent sanding performance, ensuring a professional, score-free result right up to the very edge of the floor.

Features

  • Powerful Motor:
    • Equipped with a heavy-duty, self-cooling 1.5 hp (approx.) 4-brush AC/DC motor (often specified as 13,500 RPM motor speed).
    • The drive is transmitted through a robust hardened steel alloy pinion and a large diameter aluminium bronze drive gear, ensuring consistent power delivery to the sanding disc without slipping or stalling, even under heavy load.
    • On a 110V supply, it typically draws an average load current of 15A.
  • High-Performance Sanding Pad:
    • Features a 178mm (7-inch) diameter metal-backed and rubber-bonded sanding pad.
    • The pad is dynamically balanced (to 0-3g tolerance) to ensure ultra-smooth, score-free sanding performance and minimize vibration, providing excellent "feel and touch" for the operator.
    • The pad spins at approximately 3,300 RPM (off-load).
  • Edge Sanding Excellence:
    • Specifically designed to sand right up to the edge of the floor, without damaging baseboards, mouldings, or skirting.
    • The ABS disc guard with a bronze insert freely rotates against the baseboards, protecting the machine and preventing damage to surrounding surfaces.
  • High-Efficiency Dust Collection:
    • Incorporates a high-powered vacuum system with a seated, oversize, wide-bladed alloy vacuum fan.
    • Designed for use with disposable paper dust bags or cloth bags, ensuring efficient dust capture and a cleaner working environment. The dust bag support folds upright for convenient storage and cable management.
  • Robust & Ergonomic Design:
    • Built with high-impact injection-moulded ABS guards and a polished aluminium alloy body, providing exceptional durability for demanding job site conditions.
    • Features a balanced, ergonomic design for comfortable operation. Wheel castors allow the HT7 to glide effortlessly across the floor for easy changes in direction.
    • Handles are designed to securely support the HT7 in an upside-down position for easy and safe abrasive disc changes.
  • User Safety Features:
    • Equipped with a biased-off ON/OFF switch with a power-connected indicator light, preventing accidental start-up and enhancing operator safety.
    • 7m (23') non-marking power cable prevents scuffs on newly sanded floors.
    • Includes storage for the sanding pad wrench.
  • Abrasive Compatibility:
    • Uses standard 178mm (7-inch) diameter discs with a 22mm (7/8-inch) center hole.
    • Compatible with a wide range of grits (typically P24 to P120) in fibre or paper-backed types.
