Features
- Non-Combustible Gypsum Core: The core of the plasterboard is made from gypsum, a naturally occurring mineral that is inherently non-combustible, contributing to the fire safety of a building.
- Grey Paper Facing: The board is typically coated with a grey paper on both sides, which provides a clean, stable surface ready for plastering, painting, wallpapering, or other decorative finishes after proper surface preparation (e.g., priming and jointing).
- Tapered Edge (TE): Designed for taping and jointing applications, where the recessed edges allow for a smooth, seamless finish when jointing compounds and tapes are applied, ready for direct decoration or light skim coats.
- Easy to Cut and Install: Can be easily cut to size using a plasterboard knife and snapped, allowing for efficient and adaptable installation. It can be mechanically fixed to timber or metal stud frames or adhered using plasterboard adhesive.

- Reaction to Fire (Euroclass Rating): Gypfor Standard Plasterboard typically achieves a Reaction to Fire classification of A2-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1 (often expressed as A2-s1,d0 (B) in reference to EN 520 where 'B' signifies plasterboard).
- A2: Indicates non-combustibility with very limited contribution to fire.
