Description
Crown Trade EPIMAC Anti-Slip Floor Coating
Crown Trade EPIMAC Anti-Slip Floor Coating is a high-performance, single-pack, epoxy ester-based floor coating specifically designed for interior concrete floors where enhanced slip resistance is required. Building on the robust durability of the standard EPIMAC, this formulation incorporates anti-slip aggregates to create a textured, low-glare satin finish that significantly reduces the risk of slips and falls. It offers outstanding adhesion and exceptional resistance to abrasion, scuffing, and common spillages like oil, petrol, and detergent. Its single-pack nature provides ease of use and application, making it a practical solution for demanding environments where safety is paramount.
Features
- Anti-Slip Formulation: Contains integrated aggregates to provide a textured surface, significantly improving grip and reducing slip hazards.
- Epoxy Ester Based: Delivers superior durability and resistance compared to standard floor paints.
- Hard-Wearing and Durable Finish: Built to withstand heavy foot traffic and resist abrasion and scuffing, ensuring a long-lasting appearance.
- Low Glare Satin Finish: Offers a sophisticated, subtle sheen that reduces glare and helps to mask minor floor imperfections, while providing a non-slip texture.
- Resistant to Spillages: Excellent resistance to oil, petrol, and detergent, making it suitable for demanding environments.
- Outstanding Adhesion: Forms a strong bond with prepared concrete substrates, preventing lifting or delamination.
- Single Pack Formulation: Easy to use directly from the tin, eliminating the need for complex mixing with a hardener.
- Interior Use: Specifically formulated for interior concrete floors.
- Good Coverage: Spreading rate of up to 15m² per litre.
Applications
Crown Trade EPIMAC Anti-Slip Floor Coating is ideally suited for interior concrete floors in:
- Commercial Kitchens: Where wet conditions are common and slip hazards are high.
- Workshops & Industrial Units: Providing safety in areas with machinery, oils, or heavy foot traffic.
- Storage Areas & Warehouses: Enhancing safety for staff and equipment movement.
- Ramps and Walkways: Improving traction in sloped or high-traffic pedestrian areas.
- Public Access Areas: Where safety is a key concern, such as in schools, hospitals, or retail back-of-house.
- Domestic Garages: For added safety, especially if oil or water spills are likely.
Note: Both EPIMAC products are solvent-borne, meaning they will have a noticeable odour during application and drying, and require longer drying times (typically 4 hours touch dry, 16 hours recoatable) compared to water-based alternatives. Tools will need to be cleaned with white spirit or brush cleaner.
