Description
Camon LA25 Petrol Lawn Aerator: Essential for a Healthy, Vibrant Lawn
The Camon LA25 Lawn Aerator is a professional-grade, self-propelled petrol aerator meticulously engineered to combat soil compaction and remove sub-surface thatch, two critical factors that can hinder lawn health. By creating channels in the soil, the LA25 allows essential air, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots more effectively, promoting vigorous growth, improved drainage, and a denser, greener turf. Built in the UK with a focus on durability and user-friendliness, it's a popular choice for both demanding commercial use and dedicated domestic lawn care.
Features
- Reliable Honda GX160 Petrol Engine: At its core is the robust and dependable Honda GX160 4-stroke petrol engine. With a net power output of 3.6 kW / 4.8 hp (at 3600 rpm), this engine provides ample power to drive the tines deep into compacted soil. Honda GX engines are renowned for their easy recoil starting, fuel efficiency, and long service life.
- "Off-Set" Crank Operating System: A signature feature of the LA25. This unique system harnesses the engine's power to "punch" the tines into the ground with significant force, ensuring excellent penetration and consistent aeration even in very compacted soil. This design is highly effective and requires less effort from the operator compared to other aerator types.
- Dual Tine Options (Included as Standard): A significant advantage, the LA25 is supplied with both solid spikes and hollow corer tines as standard, offering maximum flexibility:
- Solid Spikes (10mm outer diameter): Ideal for relieving compaction and allowing water and nutrients to penetrate. Best for surface aeration and can be used without the need for extensive clean-up of cores.
- Hollow Corers (19mm outer diameter / 15mm inner diameter): Crucial for removing plugs of earth. This actively reduces compaction, improves drainage, and creates space for new root growth and topdressing. The removed cores (plugs) will need to be cleared from the lawn.
- Optimal Working Width & Depth:
- Working Width: 380 mm (15 inches) or 40 cm (16 inches) on some specifications, providing efficient coverage for various lawn sizes.
- Aeration Depth: Up to 75 mm (3 inches), adjustable to suit different soil conditions and aeration needs. The tines punch at approximately 7.5-10cm (3-4 inches) intervals depending on machine speed.
- Easy Tine Access & Changeover: The tines are conveniently located at the rear of the machine, making them easily accessible. The interchangeable design allows for quick changes between different tine types in less than 5 minutes, maximizing productivity.
- Puncture-Proof Foam-Filled Tyres: Fitted with durable foam-filled tyres that eliminate the risk of punctures, ensuring uninterrupted operation. These tyres also help reduce tread marks on the lawn.
- Narrow Width for Gate Access: At only 64 cm (25 inches) wide, the LA25 can easily fit through standard garden gates, simplifying access to back gardens and smaller areas.
- Operator Comfort & Safety:
- Anti-Vibration Handlebars: Fitted with anti-vibration rubber mounts to reduce Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV), enhancing operator comfort during extended use.
- Simple Controls: Features a straightforward, two-step operating system. After starting the engine, a lever engages the tines, and another drops them into the ground for aeration.
- Quick Folding Handlebars: Designed for quick and easy folding, making the machine compact for storage and transportation.
- Robust & Durable Construction: Built to CAMON's exacting standards, with heavy-duty components designed to withstand the rigours of continuous professional use.
- Weight: Approx. 90 kg - 103 kg
- Dimensions (L x W x H): Approx. 100 x 64 x 68 cm
