Description
Master DH 44 Portable Dehumidifier: Heavy-Duty Performance for Demanding Environments
The Master DH 44 is a professional-grade condensation dehumidifier built to withstand the rigours of industrial and construction applications. With its durable construction, high moisture extraction capacity, and user-friendly features, it provides an effective and cost-efficient solution for controlling humidity, accelerating drying processes, and preventing issues like mould and mildew in large spaces.
Features
- High Dehumidification Capacity: The DH 44 can extract up to 41 litres of water per 24 hours at standard operating conditions (30°C / 80% Relative Humidity). This impressive capacity ensures rapid and effective drying, even in severely damp environments. It can manage rooms of approximately 615 m³ for general humidity control and up to 246 m³ for restoration after flooding.
- Robust Steel Casing: Engineered with a long-lasting, sturdy steel casing (often in a high-visibility yellow finish), the DH 44 is built to endure harsh working conditions, impacts, and the day-to-day wear and tear of construction sites.
- Dual Voltage Capability (DH 44DV models): Many versions of the DH 44 offer dual voltage operation (110V & 220-240V). This versatility allows the unit to be used on standard domestic power supplies as well as industrial site power, increasing its adaptability across different job sites
- Wide Operating Range: Designed to operate effectively across a broad range of temperatures from 1°C to 32°C (or up to 42°C in some specifications) and humidity levels from 30% to 98% RH. This ensures performance in diverse climatic conditions.
- Automatic Fast Defrosting by Hot Gases: Features an automatic hot gas defrost system. This prevents ice build-up on the evaporator coils, ensuring continuous and efficient operation even in colder conditions, without manual intervention.
- Built-in Hygrostat: An integrated humidistat allows for automatic humidity control. The user can set a desired humidity level, and the dehumidifier will automatically switch on and off to maintain it, conserving energy and preventing over-drying.
- Large Water Tank with Automatic Shut-off: Equipped with a generous 12-litre water collection tank. When the tank is full, the unit automatically shuts off to prevent spills and overflow, indicated by a "tank full" light.
- Continuous Drainage Option: For extended, unattended operation, a hose can be connected to the unit to allow for continuous gravity drainage of condensed water directly to a drain, eliminating the need to frequently empty the tank.
- Hour Counter: A built-in hour counter helps monitor operational time, which is useful for maintenance scheduling, rental tracking, and understanding energy consumption.
- Air Filter: Features a compact foam air filter. This protects the internal components from dust and debris, extending the lifespan of the unit and ensuring cleaner air output, even in dusty construction environments.
- Automatic Restart After Power Failure: The dehumidifier will automatically restart and resume its previous settings after a power interruption, ensuring continuous dehumidification without requiring manual reset.
- Portability & Manoeuvrability: Fitted with large, durable wheels and a sturdy handle, the DH 44 is designed for easy transportation around job sites, even over rough terrain.
- Rotary Compressor: Utilises an efficient rotary compressor, known for its quiet operation (typically around 53 dB(A)) and reliability.
Applications
The Master DH 44 Portable Dehumidifier is ideal for a broad range of professional applications:
- Construction Sites: Speeding up the drying process of new plaster, concrete, screed, and paint, reducing project timelines.
- Water Damage Restoration: Efficiently drying out properties after floods, leaks, or burst pipes to prevent secondary damage and mould growth.
- Renovation Projects: Controlling humidity during renovation work, especially in basements and newly plastered areas.
- Industrial & Commercial Spaces: Maintaining optimal humidity levels in warehouses, storage facilities (e.g., for sensitive goods like pharmaceuticals, steel, paper), workshops, and production areas.
- Agricultural Settings: Reducing moisture in drying rooms or storage facilities for agricultural products.
- Libraries & Archives: Protecting moisture-sensitive materials from humidity damage.
- Temporary Drying Solutions: Providing effective drying for various temporary structures or areas.
