Paslode IM65 F16 Lithium Straight Brad Nailer: Lightweight Precision for Second Fix

The Paslode IM65 F16 Lithium Straight Brad Nailer is a compact, lightweight, and highly accurate gas-powered finish nailer, designed for professional second-fix applications in timber. As a crucial tool in Paslode's cordless range, the IM65 F16 combines reliable gas combustion with a high-performance Lithium-ion battery, offering exceptional portability, efficiency, and a superior finish for carpenters, joiners, and fitters.

Features

  • Powerful Performance (30 Joules): Delivers ample power to consistently drive 16 gauge (1.6mm) straight brad nails from 16mm to 64mm in length into a wide variety of timber, including softwoods, hardwoods, and dense MDF, ensuring a flush finish.
  • Cordless Gas & Battery System:
    • Gas Fuel Cell: Operates using Paslode's mini yellow gas fuel cells. Each fuel cell typically provides approximately 1,000 shots.
    • Lithium-ion Battery (2.1Ah, 7.4V): The high-capacity Li-ion battery offers excellent runtime, capable of firing up to 10,000 shots per full charge. It features a fast charge time, providing 80% charge in just 25 minutes and a full charge in 90 minutes.
  • Straight Magazine: Designed with a straight magazine, ideal for situations where an angled tool might not be necessary, or where long, continuous runs are being nailed without needing to navigate tight corners.
  • 16 Gauge (1.6mm) Straight Brad Nail Compatibility: Uses 16 gauge straight brad nails, available in various finishes (Bright, Galvanised, Stainless Steel) and lengths from 16mm to 64mm, suitable for different internal and protected external applications.
  • Compact & Lightweight (2.1 kg): Weighing just 2.1 kg (with battery), the IM65 F16 is one of the lightest and best-balanced finish nailers available. This significantly reduces user fatigue during prolonged use, overhead work, or when working in tight spaces.
  • Optimised Nose Design with No-Mar Tip: Features a slim, ergonomic nose design that offers excellent line of sight to the workpiece. It comes with a non-marking nose piece to prevent damage or indentations to delicate or pre-finished timber surfaces, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
  • Tool-Free Depth Adjustment: Equipped with an easy-to-use thumbwheel or slider for precise and consistent adjustment of nail driving depth, allowing for flush or slightly recessed nail heads without the need for additional tools.
  • Quick-Clear Nose Cover: Provides easy and tool-free access to clear potential nail jams quickly, minimizing downtime.
  • Last Nail Lock-Out System: A safety and efficiency feature that prevents the tool from firing when the magazine is empty (typically when 3-5 nails remain), protecting both the tool and the workpiece from dry-firing marks.
  • Reversible Belt Hook: A sturdy, integrated hook allows for convenient hanging of the tool on a belt or rafter, improving accessibility and safety on the job site.
  • Ergonomic Soft-Grip Handle: Provides enhanced user comfort, control, and reduces strain, even during extended periods of operation.
  • Robust Carry Case: Typically supplied in a high-impact, durable carry case for protection and transport, along with a Lithium battery, charger, safety glasses, cleaning solution, lubricant, and an Allen key.
