ROCKWOOL Fire Barrier EN is a wire-reinforced high density stone wool roll designed for inhibiting the passage of fire and smoke through extensive cavities within buildings.

Features

• Fire resistance Up to El 120* depending on application.
• Suitable for concrete and timber supporting constructions.
• Tested in conjunction with service penetrations.
• Tested in conjunction with a fire-resisting single leaf timber door set.

Application

ROCKWOOL Fire Barrier EN is suitable for use in the following applications:

• Concrete soffit, including voids above the head of a plasterboard partition.
• Timber trusses, running parallel or perpendicular.

The product is also suitable for use with service penetrations and in conjunction with a fire-resisting single leaf timber door set.

Standards and Certification

ROCKWOOL Fire Barrier EN has been classified to BS EN 13501-2:2016 based on testing to the following standards:

• BS EN 1364-1:2015 “Fire resistance tests for non-load bearing elements (Part 1: Walls)”
• BS EN 1634-1:2014+A1:2018 “Fire resistance and smoke control tests for door and shutter assemblies, openable windows and elements of building hardware - Fire resistance test for door and shutter assemblies and openable windows.”
